An apparatus for picking up and storing golf balls comprises a main body defined by a peripheral wall surrounding a hollow interior for retaining golf balls therein. A golf ball receiving mouth permits the ingress of golf balls into the hollow interior. A handle permits the apparatus to be manually lifted and manipulated, to thereby permit the golf ball receiving mouth to be placed over a golf ball. Tabs mounted on an annular ring at the golf ball receiving aperture preclude the removal of golf balls from the hollow interior of the main body through the golf ball receiving aperture. A golf ball passing opening at the top end of the main body permits removal of golf balls from the hollow interior of the main body. An abutment disposed above the opening impedes the travel of a golf ball having egressed from the golf ball passing opening.
