An apparatus for planar beam radiography comprises an ionizing radiation source (13) and an ionizing radiation detector (9); the ionizing radiation source being line-like and extending substantially in a first direction; and the ionizing radiation comprising an elongated radiation slit entrance (21) extending substantially in a second direction and being arranged for one- dimensional detection of radiation from the radiation source entering the detector through the radiation slit entrance. According to the present invention the radiation source and the radiation detector are oriented such that the first and second directions are essentially perpendicular. Hereby, a facilitated alignment of the detector with respect to the source is achieved.
L'invention concerne un appareil de radiographie à faisceau plat comprenant une source de rayonnement ionisant (13) et un détecteur de rayonnement ionisant (9). La source de rayonnement ionisant est de type ligne et s'étend sensiblement dans une première direction. Le rayonnement ionisant comprend une entrée de rayonnement (21) allongée de type fente qui s'étend sensiblement dans une deuxième direction et est placée pour une détection unidimensionnelle du rayonnement qui émane de la source de rayonnement et entre dans le détecteur en passant par la fente d'entrée du rayonnement. Selon la présente invention, la source de rayonnement et le détecteur de rayonnement sont orientés de telle manière que la première et la deuxième directions soient sensiblement perpendiculaires. L'alignement du détecteur et de la source est ainsi facilité.
