Apparatus by means of which at least one player can play a card game which includes the steps of: (a) associating a unique symbol with each respective player; (b) providing such on at least one respective card in a plurality of cards; (c) dealing cards to at least one player and to a dealer; (d) playing the card game according to a set or rules; (e) allowing at least one player to wager an amount upon a chance that at least one predetermined event will occur during the playing of the game; the predetermined event being dependent at least on the player's cards at the time; and (f) upon occurrence of the said predetermined event paying a return amount to the player who wagered the said amount, the return amount being dependent at least on whether one or more of the said player's cards and the dealer's cards, at the time, include the symbol associated with the said player.

L'invention concerne un appareil qui permet à un joueur au moins de jouer à un jeu de cartes qui consiste en ce qui suit: a) associer un symbole unique à chacun des joueurs; b) munir de ce symbole au moins une carte correspondante parmi plusieurs cartes; c) distribuer les cartes à un joueur au moins et à un meneur de jeu; d) jouer le jeu de cartes conformément à un ensemble de règles; e) permettre à un joueur au moins de parier un certain montant contre l'éventualité qu'au moins un événement prédéterminé se produise lors du jeu, ledit événement prédéterminé dépendant au moins des cartes du joueur à un moment donné; et f) si cet événement prédéterminé se produit, payer une somme d'argent au joueur qui a parié ce montant, ledit montant dépendant au moins du fait qu'une ou plusieurs cartes dudit joueur et des cartes du meneur de jeu comprennent à un moment donné le symbole associé au joueur en question.
