ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In an apparatus for positioning the plane table at an optional inclination there are included two rotatable, wedge-shaped housings adapted to giving the plane the selected inclination in a combination of angular rotations. For avoid- ing a point of singularity within the positioning range for the inclination, an angularity is introduced between the upper- most of the housings and the plane.
