APPARATUS FOR PRECISELY CUTTING INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS OF A MOVING CHAIN Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus for precisely cutting individual chained sections in a continuously moving chain consisting of these sections. The apparatus comprises a mechanism for feeding the chain into a cutting position. A further mechanism is provided for forwardly urging the chain, rela- tive to the feeding mechanism. The chain sections are nested over an anvil for cutting. The mechanism for nesting is interconnectingly related with the mechanism that forwardly urges the chain. The chain sections are adjustable relative to a location of the chain sections over the anvil and the adjusting mechanism is also interconnectingly related with the mechanism for feeding. The chain sections are cut at the locations over the anvil. The feeding mechanism is also synchronously driven with the mechanism that forwardly urges the chain and the nesting mechanism that nests the chain sections over the anvil and further the cutting mechanism that cuts the chain sections.
