ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE In an apparatus for mechanical severing of usable parts of the skeletons of filleted fish, comprising a pair of parallel cutting tools mounted at a spacing from each other to be rotatable in respective substantially vertical planes, the invention concerns a feed path, advantageously in the form of a feed surface disposed upstream of the cutting tools with respect to a given direction of movement of fish skeletons therethrough, extending to the cutting zone of the cutting tools, and having a recess, which communicates with the space between the cutting tools and is bounded on each side thereof by a respective support.
