ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spun-filament nonwoven web is deposited on a sieve belt from a spinning head producing a curtain of thermoplastic filaments which traverse a cooling chamber by drawing the filaments in a drawing nozzle separate from the cooling chamber and passing the filaments through a delivery unit and the form of a jet pump, air flow through which is controlled at least in part by a suction blower below that sieve belt. Significantly higher web speeds and, thus, increased output is achievable without detriment to the quality of the nonwoven web.

Bande filamentée non tissée déposée sur une courroie-tamis, depuis une tête de filature, pour produire une toile de filaments thermoplastiques. Ces derniers traversent une chambre de refroidissement par étirement des filaments dans une filière séparée de cette chambre, et par le passage des filaments à travers une unité de sortie sous forme d'une pompe aspirante dont le débit d'air est réglé au moins partiellement par un aspirateur-souffleur sous la courroie-tamis. On peut ainsi augmenter considérablement la vitesse de la courroie et, par le fait même, la production, sans négliger la qualité de la bande non tissée.
