Abstract An apparatus for wrapping relatively large articles, especially a plurality of individual packs (cigarette cartons), is simplified and improved in terms of its mode of operation, in such a way that packs pass through a first wrapping and folding unit for wrapping in one blank and then pass through a second wrapping and folding unit for alternately or cumulatively wrapping in a second blank. The pack follows the same path irrespective of which blank is intended for wrapping alternately or cumulatively. The packs always are discharged from the apparatus at the same point on a discharge conveyor track, and can be supplied to a common pack tower. For this purpose, there are two folding turrets for wrapping the pack group with different blanks.
