ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel apparatus for producing slurry comprises a mill associated with heating means, solid feed means for feeding lumpy solid into said mill, liquid feed means for feeding first liquid into said mill, and liquid removal means for removing second liquid having a boiling point different from that of said first liquid and contained in said lumpy solid, which has been evaporated by crushing said lumpy solid under existence of said first liquid in a heated state within said mill and by mixing and stirring the same.
