Up-to-date microprocessor systems usually consist of a bus system to which a microprocessor and a plurality of peripheral units linked via peripheral interface modules are connected. The microprocessor performs adjustments in the functionality of the peripheral interface modules. Such a solution requires a complex logic in said peripheral interface modules. According to the invention, said complex logic is substituted by a random access memory.

Selon l'invention, les systèmes de microprocesseurs actuels comprennent de manière générale un système à bus auquel sont connectés un microprocesseur, ainsi qu'une pluralité de dispositifs périphériques reliés par l'intermédiaire de modules d'interfaces périphériques. Le microprocesseur procède à des ajustements dans la fonctionnalité des modules d'interfaces périphériques. Une telle solution implique néanmoins une logique complexe dans des modules d'interfaces périphériques de ce type. Selon l'invention, il est prévu de remplacer cette logique complexe par une mémoire à accès sélectif.
