A process for melting material to be treated includes placing material to be treated in a container (10) that may include an insulating, heating the material to be treated and melting the material to be treated, preferably- allowing the melted material to cool to form a vitrified and/or crystalline mass, and disposing of the mass. The mass is either disposed while contained in container or removed from container after cooling and disposed. The time required for startup of the melting procedure can be reduced by utilizing a plurality of electrodes (100) and multiple starter paths (111) , at least one of which is horizontally-oriented and positioned in a deeper region of the melt container.
Un procédé de mélange/fonte de matière devant être traitée consiste à placer la matière devant être traitée dans un conteneur (10) qui peut comporter un isolant, à chauffer la matière devant être traitée puis à mélanger/fondre la matière à traiter, de préférence, à laisser refroidir la matière fondue pour qu'elle forme une masse vitrifiée et/ou cristalline, puis à mettre ladite masse en dépôt. La masse est soit mise en dépôt alors qu'elle se trouve dans le conteneur soit, sortie du conteneur après refroidissement puis mise en dépôt. Le temps requis pour le démarrage de la procédure de mélange/fonte peut être réduit lorsqu'on utilise plusieurs électrodes (100) et plusieurs chemins de démarrage (111), dont au moins un est orienté horizontalement et positionné dans une région plus profonde du conteneur de mélange/fonte.
