ABSTRACT A record player especially for disk-shaped video records, provided with a centring device which in- cludes an adjusting mechanism, by means of which the turn- table is movable relative to a frame which is disposed on a rotary shaft; at least one electromagnetic drive means for controlling the adjusting mechanism and an electrical measuring system for measuring the eccentricity of the tracks and supplying a control signal to the drive means. The drive means includes at least tow movable transmission elements which act in mutually different di- rection, each transmission element being movably connected to the frame, engaging with the turntable under pre-tension and cooperating with a drive means, at least one resilient element being disposed between the drive means and the transmission element. As transmission elements levers, wedges, disks and cam disks may be used. A measuring system with a main and an auxi- liary detector supplies control signals, one of which after differentiation is mulitplied by the other one. The product signal together with a trigger signal yields the control signal for the drive means via a multivibrator. - 28 -
