ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cylindrical working chamber in stock reducing apparatus features opp- osite ends which are open to the atmosphere so that a fan in the chamber outlet draws atmospheric air into the chamber through the open ends thereof, thence through stock in a turning and centrifugally maintained annular stream on the peripheral chamber wall as it passes over a sizing screen at the cham- ber outlet, and finally through the screen and following chamber outlet.
