APPARATUS FOR REFRIGERATING MATERIALS Abstract A refrigeration system for use in the continuous cryogenic treatment of materials has a rotatable drum that can receive and discharge such material. The drum has an interior configuration that advances the material longitudinally within the drum upon its rotation. The material is refrigerated while it is within the drum. The drum is supported for rotation on a plurality of rings, such rings having, as part thereof, insulated force-transmitting members.
