APPARATUS FOR REFRIGERATING MATERIALS Abstract A refrigeration system for use in the continuous cryogenic treatment of materials has a rotatable drum that can receive and discharge material. The drum has an interior configuration that transports the material through the drum upon its rotation. The material is refrigerated while it is being transported through the drum. A discharge chamber is provided within a discharge header juxtaposed to the discharge end of the drum. An ejector device for introducing low temperature fluid into the drum is mounted within this chamber to draw gas therefrom and recirculate it with gas from the other end of the drum.
