ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The disclosure herein describes an apparatus for reinstalling a fuel element in a fuel assembly of a nuclear reactor, which comprises a clamp connected to a weight and able to slide in a casing; the clamp, after engagement with a fuel element, is raised inside the casing and, under the pressure exerted by the weight, enables the fuel element to be almost entirely introduced in the fuel assembly; the final introduction of the element in the fuel assembly, once the clamp is dis- connected from the weight, is accomplished by a central ejector which is connected to the weight by means of a spindle system.
