ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for removing a fiber layer from a rotating disc filter consisting of a number of filter discs mounted side by side on a common shaft includes gas or liquid nozzles for said removal. The spray nozzles are rigidly connected to slide shoes, each of which is guided by a guide rail positioned about the periphery of each filter disc. The slide shoe is arranged with play relative to the guide rail and is suspended as a pendulum.
