A B S T R A C T APPARATUS FOR REMOVING A POLLUTANT FROM THE SURFACE OF A WATER BODY An apparatus is provided for removing oil or other pollutants from the surface of a body of water. The apparatus 10 comprises a funnel-shaped floating weir 14, a flexible disk 11 suspended thereabove and having an edge contacting the water surface 12 around the weir 14, and means 15 for removing pollutants from the weir to a vessel, for example, for collecting the removed pollutants. Figure 1.
