An apparatus for removing a replaceable hockey stick blade from a handle includes a mounting plate having a face. The mounting plate is adapted for mounting onto a surface. A fixed primary retainer extends from the face of the mounting plate. A movable clamping member is mounted to the face of the mounting plate for movement toward and away from the primary retainer. A shaft portion of a replaceable hockey stick blade is clamped between the primary retainer and the movable clamping member.
