ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for removing cones from severed conifer tree branches consisting of a generally cylindrical housing having a first end, a second end, a shrouded exterior surface, an abrasive interior surface, an inlet adjacent the first end adapted to receive cone laden branches from a conifer tree, and an outlet adjacent the second end for denuded branches. A rotatably mounted shaft extends axially through the housing. The shaft has one end which is adapted for attachment to a drive motor. A plurality of flexible members are attached to the shaft. Upon rapid rotation of the shaft the flexible members extend radially whereby cone laden branches entering the inlet are beaten by the flexible members and rubbed against the abrasive interior surface of the cylindrical housing to remove the cones as the branches move from the inlet to the outlet.
