O16-240 APPARATUS FOR REMOVING PARTICULATE MATERIAL FROM A PILE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus is provided for removing particulate material, such as wood chips, bark, municipal waste or industrial waste, from a pile thereof, comprising a support extending along the base of the pile and a carriage movable on the support along its longitudinal axis. Mounted on the carriage are an elongated scraper for scraping material from the pile, and a conveyor for collecting and carrying away particulate material scraped down from the pile.
