ABSTRACT: A cassette recorder comprises a magnetic read head which is mounted on a pivoting plate, which is pivotable by means of a pivoting member, of an azimuth-angle correction device for correcting an incorrect azimuth-angle position of a read gap of the read head relative to a track on a magnetic tape. By means of a correction knob located on a front panel of the cassette recorder a user can adjust the pivot- ing member via two pulling strings either by ear or with the aid of indication means at the front panel, so as to correct, if necessary, the azimuth angle of the read gap of the read head.
