- 1 - Abstract: In apparatus that reproduces speech sounds at a speed faster than normal reproduction speed, the outputting oper- ation makes it easier to hear speech sounds when a video searching operation is performed. Normal reproduction is performed by another head which is different in azimuth angle from the double azimuth heads used during reproduction at 1.5 times speed. One of the normal two heads is provided as a double azimuth head. Noise caused by reproduction from an adjacent track can thus be removed.
