ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to improved apparatus for sawing stone blocks. A number of rotary saw blades are arranged in series in the cutting plane of the blades with the cutting depth of each blade being successively deeper. A number of blocks are pushed along a work bed to the rotary blades by a main hydraulic piston feeder. At a predetermined point, an auxiliary hydraulic piston feeder grasps the blocks and continues to feed them to the blades. This enables the main feeder to be retracted to allow a new block to be added and the process is repeated. This has the advantage of providing for continuous feeding of the blocks through the blades.
