A method for mounting a screen assembly in a shale shaker, the shale shaker comprises a mounting structure for receiving the screen assembly. The screen assembly comprises at least one layer of screening material tensioned over a screen support, characterized in that the method comprises the steps of aligning the screen assembly with the mounting structure using at least one hole located in at least one of the screen support and the mounting structure and inserting a corresponding pin of the other of the screen support and mounting structure into said at least one hole.
