The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for separating a material stream consisting of several materials. The materials to be separated have different densities or density ranges, so that the material of the highest density can be discharged through a screen of the apparatus, while the material of the lowest density can be discharged via a first outlet located near the top of the liquid. Material of an intermediate density is discharged via a second outlet, located at a position above and near the screen. An extra liquid supply, directed in counter flow to the flow of the material stream to be separated, ensures the effective removal of material of the lowest density.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de séparer un flux de matériaux composé de plusieurs matériaux. Les matériaux à séparer présentent différentes densités ou gammes de densités, de sorte que le matériau présentant la plus forte densité puisse être déchargé par un tamis de l'appareil tandis que le matériau présentant la plus faible densité puisse être déchargé par un premier orifice de sortie situé à proximité du niveau supérieur du liquide. Le matériau présentant une densité intermédiaire est déchargé par un deuxième orifice de sortie situé au dessus ou à proximité du tamis. L'utilisation d'une alimentation en liquide supplémentaire, orientée à contre-courant par rapport au sens du flux de matériaux à séparer, garantit l'élimination effective du matériau présentant la plus faible densité.
