- 1 - ABSTRACT: A solid/liquid separator is disclosed, which includes a screw conveyor and a screen of a hollow drum or disc form rotatable integrally therewith, as well as a transporting tube containing the screw conveyor, a receiving chamber for a coolant arranged at one end of the screen, at least one injecting nozzle for back-washing the screen, and a rotational driving means for the screen conveyor.
