ABSTRACT APPARATUS FOR SERIAL DATA TRANSMISSION A circuit arrangement for serial data transmission via at least one bus, where the subscriber stations each comprise a timing circuit, by means of which faulty seizure of the bus can be discontinued. In order to achieve the highest possible level of availability with a comparatively large number of subscriber stations, the bus leads to a coupling device which itself comprises a timing circuit for the discontinuation of faulty seizures of the data transmission network by the respective bus. The circuit arrangement can be used advantageously in monitoring devices of information transmission technology in which a plurality of stations, each containing a plurality of locating devices, are connected to a central processor.
