ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus comprising a large volume displacement water pump, specially designed with casing and casing supporting means and actuators means built in such a manner as to permit the whole pump body to be rotated, and the pumping unit towork at any chosen position, around a vertical axis, in the three hundred and sixty (360°) degrees, rotation. Installed in the prow section of a ship - or any other similar, floating vessel - the water pump, part of the invention, is a mean of moving volume of water through/or accross/the ship body, thereby creating a thrust effect which in turn means a steering and/or propulsing and/or braking action according to angle of position of the acting pump. Same apparatus comprising an arrangement of water ducts, part of the invention, built in the structure of a new ship, to displace the water from the front of the prow to the rear of the stern meaning a mean of propulsing the said ship and minimizing the resistance of the water inertia at the prow. Same apparatus comprising the duct arrangement and additional components, like; water valves, water traps and means of synchronizing their operation is used a amean of an emergency pumping unit to evacuate the water that accidentaly got in the ship hold.
