ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sterilization apparatus which utilizes ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet light is reflected by a reflector/mirror which concentrates the ultraviolet light on a receiving end surface of a light guide. The ultraviolet light emerges from the light guide through an exit end surface of the light guide and then irradiates an object to be sterilized. The light guide may take the form of a bundle of optical fibers.
