ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for sterilizing and deodorizing rooms comprises a circuit part and an ionization part. High voltage of up to 3 kV necessary for forming corona discharges is produced in the circuit part. The ionization part comprises electrodes, which are arranged on both sides of an insulator plate. An electron emission is produced on the second electrode in operation, which leads to negative oxygen ions, which destroy bacteria and spores and remove odors from the air.
