ABSTRACT An apparatus is provided for supplying media to a blowing lance, particularly a blowing lance in the production of steel by the top blowing process. A vertically movable lance carrier (6) comprises a media connection device (8) having a vertical connection surface. Before the coupling the blowing lance (4) is first locked on the lance carrier (6) by a fastening device (10). The connection device (8) is movable hori- zontally in guide rails (28, 30) on the lance carrier from a waiting position towards the coupling head (20) of the blowing lance (4). Fig. 1
