A B S T R A C T Apparatus for the separation and feeding of sheets to a line printer and for the collection of the printed sheets. A sheet separating unit is provided which is removably attached to a sub-frame which, in turn, is removably attached to the line printer to be used. Rotation of the platen of the line printer is used to rotate the separating rollers of the sheet supply apparatus. Feed rollers are supplied on the sub-frame which transport the printed sheet to a receiving compartment located directly behind the feed rollers. The provision of a sub-frame has the advantage that the sheet separating and feeding unit can be used with various makes of office equipment without modification as long as the sub-frame is adapted to fit the particular unit under consideration. The particular arrangement of feed rollers in the sub-frame results in simplified drive mechanism.
