A noninvasive apparatus (16) for supporting tools associated with a stereotactic apparatus (10) and procedures to guide tools along any selected path. In one embodiment of the invention, the tool support system (16) is mounted to a skull clamp (46) holding a patient's head (13). In another embodiment, a tool (105) and an articulated arm and probe (18) are selectively mounted to the tool support system which in turn, is mounted to the side rails (120) of a table (48) supporting a patient. With the second embodiment, stereotactic procedures can be practiced with respect to any part of the patient's body.
L'invention porte sur un appareil porte-instruments non invasif (16) associé à un appareil stéréotactique (10), et sur des procédés de guidage desdits appareils sur une quelconque trajectoire sélectionnée. Dans l'une des variantes, le porte-instruments (16) est monté sur une clamp crânienne (46) maintenant la tête du patient (13). Dans une autre variante, un instrument (105) ainsi qu'un bras articulé et une sonde (18) sont sélectivement montés sur le porte-instruments qui est à son tour monté sur les rails latéraux (120) de la table (48) où repose le patient. Dans cette deuxième variante, il est possible de pratiquer des interventions stéréotactiques sur toutes les parties du corps du patient.
