The present invention provides an apparatus (74 and 200) for switching an optical signal from an input optical fiber (210) to one of a plurality of output optical fibers (214 and 216). The apparatus (74 and 200) includes a collimator (76) for collimating an input optical signal into a collimated beam (216) at an angle with respect to a reference and a decollimator (78) for focusing the collimated beam to an output optical signal (220). The present invention also includes a reflector (92, 208, 218 and 222) for reflecting the collimated beam. The reflector (92 and 208) has a plurality of positions for changing the angle of the collimated beam (216) with respect to the reference so that the output optical signal (220) is focused on one of the plurality of output optical fibers (214 and 216).
La présente invention concerne un appareil (74 et 200) pour commuter un signal optique depuis une fibre optique d'entrée (210) jusqu'à une pluralité de fibres optiques de sortie (214 et 216). L'appareil (74 et 200) comporte un collimateur (76) pour collimater un signal optique d'entrée afin d'obtenir un faisceau collimaté (216) situé en biais par rapport à un plan de référence, et un décollimateur (78) pour focaliser le faisceau collimaté sur un signal optique de sortie (220). La présente invention concerne également un réflecteur (92, 208, 218, et 222) pour réfléchir le faisceau collimaté. Ce réflecteur (92 et 208) présente plusieurs positions permettant de modifier l'angle du faisceau collimaté (216) par rapport au plan de référence afin que le signal optique de sortie (220) soit focalisé sur l'une de la pluralité de fibres optiques de sortie (214 et 216).
