A first form of an ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) channel testing apparatus tests an ATM channel by having a test cell detector in each switch detect whether or not the switch appropriately switches a test cell generated by a test cell generating trunk. A second form of an ATM channel testing apparatus easily tests an ATM channel by having test cell generators provided for the respective input highways sequentially generate test cells to which test cell identifying information and input highway identifying information, and having test cell monitor provided for the respective output highways simply tally the test cells by the respective input highways. A third form of an ATM channel testing apparatus tests an ATM channel with fewer pieces of hardware by having turnaround parts in respective ordinary trunks sequentially turn around a test cell generated by a test cell generating trunk to be finally returned to the test cell generating trunk.
L'invention est un appareil de vérification de canaux à mode de transfert asynchrone (MTA) qui, dans une première concrétisation, vérifie les canaux MTA en utilisant un détecteur de cellules de vérification dans chaque commutateur pour détecter si celui-ci commute correctement une cellule de vérification engendrée par une liaison de génération de cellules de vérification. Dans une deuxième concrétisation, l'appareil de l'invention vérifie facilement les canaux MTA en utilisant des générateurs de cellules de vérification individuels dans les diverses liaisons d'entrée pour engendrer séquentiellement des cellules de vérification auxquelles sont ajoutées des informations d'identification de ces cellules de vérification et des informations d'identification des liaisons d'entrée, ainsi qu'un contrôleur de cellules de vérification pour les différentes liaisons de sortie qui fait l'inventaire des cellules de vérification introduites par les différentes liaisons d'entrée. Dans une troisième concrétisation, l'appareil de l'invention vérifie les canaux MTA à l'aide d'un matériel simplifié en utilisant dans des liaisons ordinaires des éléments qui renvoient séquentiellement à la liaison de génération de cellules de vérification les cellules de vérification engendrées par cette liaison de génération de cellules de vérification.
