The present invention is directed to a feeder apparatus for feeding sheets that are taken singly from a pile and are supplied, after they have been aligned, to a printing press. Front lays are provided which are non-rotatingly connected to a front-lay shaft which is driven by a swivelling drive. In order to obviate elaborate measures for adjusting the front lays with the aim of adapting them to a curvature of the front edges of the sheets, the feeder apparatus is equipped with a being apparatus which acts in a fixed manner on the front-lay shaft. The bending apparatus provides a simple mechanism for changing the curvature of the longitudinal axis of the front-lay shaft and thereby adjust the position of the front lays.
