The invention relates to a device (1) for cleaning a tank (2) using a cleaning fluid (3), having at least one cleaning device (4) comprising means for aligning a fluid distribution device (5) with interior regions of the tank (2), wherein the at least one cleaning device (4) is surrounded by a container (6) and can be mounted on an adapter (8) of the tank (2) by means of at least one connecting piece (7). Particularly preferred application possibilities and operating methods are also explained.
