Apparatus for cutting grass sods out of grass land and for stacking or rolling up into a predetermined amount of stacks or rolls of one or more grass sods, comprising: a frame (2) provided with two or more wheels suspended thereon, a cutting head (5) suspended in the flame for cutting under the grass sods, a first conveyor (6) which is mounted on the frame in driving direction as seen from behind the cutting head and which repeatedly transports the grass sods from the cutting head in an upwards direction, a second conveyor (7) mounted on the frame in a driving direction as seen from behind the first conveyor and whereof at least one part is moveable with respect to the first conveyor and/or the other part to the second conveyor. The base concept of the present invention aims to provide a universal grass sod cutting apparatus which can process big rolls as well as stacked grass sods in other ways. Due to the working costs and level of training needed for personal working on the land, the automatic laying down (and therefore also the manufacturing of) large rolls of grass sods is more or less desired.
Ce dispositif de découpe de plaques de gazon d'une pelouse engazonnée permet de mettre en pile ces plaques ou de les enrouler de façon à constituer une quantité prédéterminée de piles ou de rouleaux composés d'une ou plusieurs plaques. Ce dispositif se compose: d'un châssis (2) muni d'au moins deux roues à suspension; d'une tête de coupe (5) suspendue au châssis et destinée à couper sous les plaques de gazon; d'un premier convoyeur (6) monté sur le châssis, derrière la tête de coupe en se référant au sens de circulation, et qui fait monter par actions répétées le gazon depuis la tête de coupe; d'un second convoyeur (7) monté sur le châssis, derrière le premier convoyeur en se référant au sens de circulation, une partie de ce second convoyeur étant mobile par rapport au premier convoyeur et/ou l'autre partie du second convoyeur. Ce dispositif est conçu pour tous les cas de découpe de plaques de gazon, et pour la formation des plaques de gazon en gros rouleaux aussi bien qu'en piles. Etant donné le coût de la main d'oeuvre et le niveau de formation exigé du personnel de l'industrie paysagère, le besoin se fait de plus en plus sentir de disposer (et donc de fabriquer) de grands rouleaux de gazon à poser automatiquement.
