ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Hexagonal phosphorus pentoxide is made in an apparatus comprising a combustion chamber which has a plurality of cooling pipes disposed at its in- side wall and is connected through a gas cooler to a condensation chamber, the gas cooler comprising a system of cooling pipes which terminate, similarly to an open immersion tube, above the bottom portion of the condensation chamber, whose walls are provided with a cooling device.
