Apparatus for the protective storage of a connector at an outer end of an electrical cable, comprising a housing suitable for accommodating the connector and having an outlet aperture, the connector and cable being capable of being withdrawn from the housing via the outlet aperture. A closure is attached to the connector for closing the aperture when the connector is in a stored position, and may be capable of being moved away from the connector when it has been withdrawn. The housing may include a case capable of fully accommodating the cable, which may be an extension cord. 12
