Abstract Apparatus for transferring electrophotographic images Electrophotographic image transfer apparatus wherein a toner image on a previously uniformly charged and image-wise exposed photoconductor sheet, is transferred to a receptor sheet. The exact parallellism between both sheets in the toner transfer zone is obtained by fitting one sheet onto a rotatable cylindrical member, fitting the other sheet to a flat supporting member that may move tangentially to the cylindrical member, arranging the flat member for balancing about a pivot, the axis of which runs parallel with the direction of displacement, providing two laterally spaced spacing members to control the gap between the photoconductor and the receptor sheet, and biasing the flat supporting member towards the cylindrical supporting member. The apparatus is principally intended for producing large-size lithographic aluminium printing plates (Fig. 5).
