ABSTRACT A hand-push type mobile apparatus for transferring an invalid patient, adapted such that reception of the patient thereinto from a horizontal resting surface, and discharge of the patient therefrom back onto another resting surface, can be effected without involving lift- up of the patient, henceforth with least amount of physical strength and effort required by the attendant personnel; said mobile transfer apparatus in combination comprising: a chair, a horizontally disposed cantilever shaft, chassis, castors, and linear actuator means; said chair horizontally and pivotedly supported on said cantilever shaft; said cantilever shaft attached, fixedly in horizontal directions, but slidably in the vertical direction, to the top of the post erected vertically on said chassis; said chassis provided thereunder with castors to permit the attendant to freely move the apparatus assembly around on the floor; whereby said receiving chair may be adjusted to assume any angular positions between the up-right and fully-reclined positions around the cantilever shaft, while also engageable with any horizontal surface over and above thereof by virtue of the fact that one side of the apparatus is fully open and indented allowing the chair to pass over the horizontal surface to reach the patient thereby eliminating the need for the patient to be lifted up for transfer.
