Abstract: Apparatus for treating photographic process waste liquor through concentration by evaporation Disclosed is an apparatus for treating photographic process waste liquor through concentration by evaporation, comprising an evaporation vessel and a heating device, wherein: i) the heating device has a heat density of about 17.2 kcal/cm2 or less; or ii) the apparatus is provided with a device for intermittently feeding the waste liquor according to a signal from a device for detecting the quantity of the waste liquor in the evaporation vessel. According to this invention, provided is an apparatus for treating photographic process waste liquor through concentration by evaporation, that may involve less harmful or ill-smelling components to be generated by the photographic process waste liquor; may cause less bumping at the time of the evaporation treatment; can achieve good thermal efficiency, good evaporation efficiency and reduced energy cost; can make an apparatus compact; and can surely feed the waste liquor to be treated.
