ABSTRACT Apparatus is disclosed for treating, e.g. washing, the human body. The apparatus has a drive motor for rotating two vertical rods, one of which is adapted to reciprocate a fitting in a vertical guideway and the other of which is adapted to rotate a spindle mounted on the fitting. A brush or the like can be mounted on the outer end of the spindle so that a person can move against the brush. The apparatus may be mounted in a bathroom or a shower room or the like.
