Apparatus for microbial disruption, comprises a cylindrical transducer having a beatconducting, solid transmission layer disposed along at least a part of the inner longitudinal surface thereof, said transmission layer or said transducer and transmission layer defining a channel for receipt of a liquid sample, and means capable of delivering an alternating potential to said transducer at a frequency and voltage exciting resonance and inducing cavitation in said liquid sample.

L'invention concerne un appareil de désintégration microbienne comprenant un transducteur cylindrique doté d'une couche de transmission solide et conductrice de chaleur, placée sur au moins une partie de la surface longitudinale intérieure du transducteur, cette couche de transmission ou ce transducteur et cette couche de transmission définissant un canal pour recevoir un échantillon liquide. L'appareil comporte également un moyen apte à fournir un potentiel alternatif au transducteur à une fréquence et à une tension provoquant la résonance et la cavitation dans l'échantillon liquide.
