An apparatus for use to check potatoes or similar items comprises a feeding device (2) for advancing the potatoes in a plurality of rows, a conveying device (13) adapted to receive the rows of potatoes from the feeding device (2) and advancing them while maintaining the row structure, a camera (42) with associated image processing means for recording and evaluating each individual potato on the conveying device (13), and a sorting device (31) controlled by the image processing means, said sorting device being adapted to sort the potatoes. The conveying device (13) comprises a plurality of substantially horizontal rollers (14, 15), the axes of rotation of said rollers extending parallel to the advance direction (12) of the potatoes. The rollers (14, 15) are rotatably mounted in a support frame (25, 26) and connected with a first driving device (29) for rotating them, said rollers each independently being additionally displaceable in parallel forwards and backwards in a sub- stantially straight line extending in a vertical plane, said plane comprising the axis of rotation of each roller, and inclining somewhat upwards, seen in the advance direction. Finally, the rollers (14, 15) are connected with a second driving device (27) adapted to confer a reciprocating oscillating movement to each roller along said line.
La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil utilisé pour la vérification de pommes de terre ou d'articles similaires, comportant un dispositif d'alimentation (2) conçu pour faire avancer les pommes de terre sur une pluralité de rangées, un dispositif de transport (13) conçu pour recevoir les rangées de pommes de terre en provenance du dispositif d'alimentation (2) et les faire avancer tout en maintenant la structure des rangées, une caméra (42) associée à un moyen de traitement d'image qui permet d'enregistrer et d'évaluer chaque pomme de terre individuelle sur le dispositif de transport (13), et un dispositif de triage (31) commandé par le moyen de traitement d'image, ledit dispositif de triage étant conçu pour trier les pommes de terre. Le dispositif de transport (13) comporte une pluralité de rouleaux sensiblement horizontaux (14, 15), les axes de rotation desdits rouleaux étant parallèles à la direction d'avancement (12) des pommes de terre. Ces rouleaux (14, 15) sont montés rotatifs dans un châssis de support (25, 26) et raccordés à un premier dispositif d'entraînement (29) conçu pour les faire tourner, lesdits rouleaux étant en outre chacun indépendamment déplaçables en parallèle vers l'avant et vers l'arrière suivant une ligne sensiblement droite s'étendant dans un plan vertical, ledit plan comprenant l'axe de rotation de chaque rouleau, et étant sensiblement orienté vers le haut, vu suivant la direction d'avancement. Finalement, les rouleaux (14, 15) sont raccordés à un second dispositif d'entraînement (27) conçu pour imprimer un mouvement oscillant alternatif à chaque rouleau le long de ladite ligne.
