A series of non-opaque containers, each containing a fluid of different viscosity, is used at ambient room temperature to mimic the flow characteristics of reference fluids at pre-determined non-ambient characteristic. Each container may contain a ball, such that on inverting the container, the balls are drawn by gravity through the fluids at different rates, the rates demonstrating the viscosity of the reference fluid.

Une série de contenants non opaques refermant des fluides de différentes viscosités est utilisée à température ambiante pour imiter les caractéristiques de débit des liquides de référence à des caractéristiques prédéterminées non ambiantes.
