The present disclosure relates to a device (10) and method for measuring the resistance of inhalers (20) to air flow. In particular, the device and method can be used to measure the resistance to air flow of dry powder inhalers (20), which are used for pulmonary drug delivery. The device (10) has a pair of chambers (12, 18) to mount and enclose an inhaler (20) within. Each chamber (12, 18) has a respective valve. The device (10) has further a pressure controller (22), a flow controller (24) and pressure and flow sensors and microprocessors configured to control opening and closing of the valves and to detect and analyze the corresponding signals.
La présente invention porte sur un dispositif (10) et sur un procédé de mesure de la résistance d'inhalateur (20) à l'écoulement d'air. En particulier, on peut utiliser le dispositif et le procédé pour mesurer la résistance à l'écoulement d'air d'inhalateurs à poudre sèche (20), utilisés pour une administration de médicament pulmonaire. Le dispositif (10) comporte une paire de chambres (12, 18) destinées à monter et renfermer un inhalateur (20) à l'intérieur. Chaque chambre (12, 18) comporte une soupape respective. Le dispositif (10) comporte en outre un dispositif de commande de pression (22), un dispositif de commande d'écoulement (24) et des détecteurs de pression et d'écoulement et des microprocesseurs configurés pour commander l'ouverture et la fermeture des soupapes et pour détecter et analyser les signaux correspondants.
