A system for acoustically imaging a target region behind an acoustically reflective layer includes a transducer configuration for acquiring acoustic image data from the reflective layer and target region, wherein the reflective layer and target region are divided into voxels circumferentially disposed about a central point. The system includes a mechanism for processing the data wherein the suppressing mechanism facilitates the acquisition of image data from the target region. A transducer configuration of an acoustic sensing tool for determining the consistency of a first medium disposed between a layer having a greater acoustic reflectivity than the first medium and a second medium, the sensing tool including a rotating head, wherein the tool comprises first, second and third transducer pairs in a spaced apart configuration, each pair comprising a transmitting transducer for transmitting an acoustic radiation signal in an insonified zone, and receiving transducer having a receiving radiation pattern in an insonified zone.
Cette invention se rapporte à un système permettant de générer des images acoustiques d'une région cible située à l'arrière d'une couche de réflexion acoustique. Ledit système comporte une structure transductrice conçue pour l'acquisition de données d'images acoustiques de la couche réfléchissante et de la région cible, ladite couche réfléchissante et la région cible étant divisées en voxels disposés concentriquement autour d'un point central. Ledit système comporte un mécanisme de traitement de données dans lequel un mécanisme de suppression facilite l'acquisition des données d'images issues de la région cible. L'invention se rapporte également à une structure transductrice d'un instrument de détection acoustique, conçue pour évaluer la consistance d'un premier milieu disposé entre une couche dotée d'un coefficient de réflexion acoustique supérieur à celui du premier milieu, et un second milieu, ledit instrument de détection comportant une tête rotative ainsi qu'une première, une deuxième et une troisième paire de transducteurs qui sont espacées l'une de l'autre, chaque paire comportant un transducteur d'émission conçu pour émettre un signal de rayonnement acoustique dans une zone exposée à l'émission sonore, et un transducteur de réception ayant un diagramme de rayonnement acoustique dans une zone exposée à l'émission sonore.
